The Ghent Altarpiece: Panel with The Prophet Micheas and the Virgin Mary receiving the message from the Angel Gabriel.

The prophet Micah represents the counterpart of Zacharias. He looks down over the edge of his lunette at het scene below in which the archangel gabriel brings his message to the Virgin Mary. The latters's reply is painted upside down and from right to left so that her acceptance is clear to Holy Spirit and even more to Micah.
